one of the renowned companies, maison lejaby: we have developed a design with different technics. inspired by snake skin we have used all kinds of effects and applications like calender, overprint, transfer and digital print as well as multicolor embroidery yarn. the result was unbelievable. A light, refined, high-quality and exclusive embroidery has been created. simply great. thanks.
wacoal salute has fallen in love with a flowered haute couture design … inspired from this design we have developed a new design for their exclusive lingerie line. the only one challenge was not to reduce a large-scaled designs on smaller surface, it should also keep these exclusive, filigree and highly exclusive look. Finally, we succeeded, it looks amazing. thanks again and we wish you much success in the sales.
stéphanie baechler (b. 1983, switzerland) is a swiss artist based in amsterdam. baechler is trained as textile and fashion designer at hslu lucerne university of applied arts with a fashion masters degree from the artez arnhem, netherlands and worked as a textile developer / design assistant for hussein chalayan in london.
for her solo show curated by florence parot in amsterdam she was converting the template of the application instagram into a three-dimensional artefact. she deconstructs its structure considering repetition and the mechanism of posting. repetition plays an important role in this work as she address the issue of the recurring actions of liking and scrolling. as if more likes represent more truth. the installation conveys the frictions between tactile perception and the speed of emotions evoked by images. through ceramics and textiles she investigates the sensual experience that has become increasingly rare through today technologies.
in a close cooperation we had the possibility to develop the textiles part with her. thanks again for this nice experience.
